Our Story

Walter Homsey, LCSW, a native of Delaware, is a graduate from both Widener University and Wilmington University. His post graduate career started in community mental health yet his first passion is Art. For over a decade, he worked as a licensed therapist in various settings including within a prison system, a hospital, crisis response, and outpatient group practices. He utilizes art as a medium in which people can heal.
He met his wife, Lakeeya Homsey, while working in community mental health. She is also a licensed therapist. Neither one of them knew at the time how connected they would be only a few short years later.

 

Lakeeya Homsey, LICSW, a New York born- Philadelphia, PA, native, is a graduate from both Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University. Her post graduate career started in children and family services. For over a decade, she worked as a licensed therapist in various settings, including a prison system, community mental health, and outpatient group practices. She is currently the owner and lead therapist of Transitions4Life.com, a mobile and telehealth practice that specialize in crisis management, emotional support animal evaluations, and counseling for individuals and couples, since June 2018.

 

 Walter’s and Lakeeya’s desire is to create a
safe space for working professionals to address self-care, stress management, mental health needs, and overall wellness through their books, social media platforms, workshops, guided healing experiences, and retreats.
